Hope & Despair: Visual identity
Client: Designskolen i Kolding
We created the visual identity and core narrative for Hope & Despair, a project connecting seven different Danish and German museums and memorial sites focusing on World War II.
The graphic identity and assets were created using generative visual AI - by training Midjourney using sketches by artists Felix Nussbaum, Leonard Baskin, and Thomas Fritta to develop a visual style grounded in wartime history, emotional intensity, and historical context.
Our services included:
Prompting and training of Midjourney to generate the initial visual idea
Art direction
Graphic design, including refining and finalizing assets
Copywriting of the core narrative in Danish, German, and English.
Designskolen Kolding was lead partner in the project spanning 14 different organizations, museums, and educational institutions.
